About Me
Who is Shellae you ask. Well, I am many people all rolled into one. I am the wife of Jeff Peters, teacher at East Ridge High School. Mom is the most popular name by which I am known thanks to my 3 children: Xander, Kirklan, and Saraiah. My former students at Pike Central and my current students at Pikeville College know me as Mrs. Peters. Finally the Pikeville College Booth Scholars know me simply as Shellae, the Booth Scholars Director. My initial 2 identies bring me much joy and responisbility, but more than that, they are the most important part of my life and will always come first. The latter 2 roles come with much educational background. I graduated from Pikeville College with a Bachelors of Science (Chemistry Major, Biology Minor, Middle Grades Science Endorsement) and I later received my Masters and Rank I from Morehead State University, where I also received an award for Outstanding Graduate Student in Counseling in 2004.
So what am I taking classes for now? My mother says that I am just a career students and I must agree. I think that as long as you live you should take the opportunity to learn something new so that is what I am doing. I have numerous PD hours & have taken several classes in Educational Technology so Pikeville asked me to fill in as an undergrad Ed Tech Instructor. I want to do my best in class so I figured that I might as well get a Masters in that field as well. What can I say, I love to learn!
